A Newton's cradle with steel balls in motion

Physics is often easiest to learn by watching it happen. In a Newton's cradle, a ball swung into a row of touching balls stops dead, and the ball at the far end flies out at nearly the same speed. Momentum and energy pass through the row and are conserved in the collision. Interactive simulations let you try experiments like this yourself.
