Sabrina Gonzalez Pasterski built and flew her own single-engine plane as a teenager, graduated from MIT in physics, and did her PhD at Harvard on high-energy theory. Her research on symmetries of spacetime, soft theorems and the "memory" effects of gravitational waves feeds into work on quantum gravity and black holes.
