In June 2016, mountain biker Davis Souza was riding the Mills Peak Lookout Trail near Lake Tahoe, California, when a black bear ran out across the trail in front of him. He hit it, went over the handlebars and landed on the rocks, and the bear ran off into the woods. His helmet camera caught the whole collision. Souza got away with scratches and rode the rest of the trail.
