SpaceX flew the last version 2 Starship on October 13, 2025, and it went to plan. Super Heavy ran a landing-burn test, hovered briefly and splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico.
The ship flew to space, tested heat-shield changes and a banking manoeuvre on reentry, then flipped, fired its engines and made a soft splashdown in the Indian Ocean about 66 minutes after liftoff.
After a rough first half of 2025, Flights 10 and 11 were back-to-back successes. Next up is the bigger Version 3.
